Join us in Bologna, Italy, from 25 to 30 June 2028 for the 10th Congress of the International Weed Science Society (IWSS), a landmark event that celebrates both the Society's 10th Congress and the first IWSS Congress ever hosted in Italy.
Bringing together scientists, students, educators, industry representatives, extension specialists and policymakers from across the globe, IWSS 2028 will provide a vibrant forum to exchange ideas, present cutting-edge research and build international collaborations that advance sustainable weed management.
As agriculture faces unprecedented challenges, including herbicide resistance, invasive species, biodiversity concerns and climate change, weed science has never been more important. At the same time, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, genomics and precision agriculture are opening exciting new pathways for innovation. IWSS 2028 will showcase the latest scientific advances while fostering dialogue across disciplines, sectors and continents.
Hosted at the modern Savoia Regency Congress Center, the Congress will feature plenary lectures by leading experts, thematic sessions, oral and poster presentations, working group meetings, networking opportunities, and dedicated activities for students and early-career researchers.
